Ramen and gyoza

Japanese cuisine is so unique and delicious - and it has much more to offer than sushi. Join your chef Oanh in cooking two very popular Japanese dishes: ramen and gyoza.

We will throughout the class cover all key elements needed to make a perfect bowl of ramen and delicious gyoza, which is crispy on the outside, but juicy on the inside.

In the class, you will learn to make:

  • Gyoza wrapper from scratch
  • Gyoza filling and the folding techniques
  • Gyoza dipping sauce
  • Ramen pork broth with miso flavor
  • Ramen tare sauce
  • Ramen topping: ajtama seasoned boiled egg, cooked pork, steamed veggies
  • Perfectly boiled noodles.

Class will be held in English. Feel free to bring your own drinks and boxes for any leftovers.

Xin chào! I am Oanh (pronounced like “One”), born and raised in Vietnam.

I am an experienced cookery instructor and private chef for the last 6 years.

I’ve been hosting hundreds of cooking classes in my studio in Saigon (Vietnam) and love to share my knowledge and passion about Vietnamese food.

My recipes are authentic, simple, delicious and flavorful.

At the same time, I am a food and lifestyle journalist, columnist, book author and world traveler. You can chat with me on anything about Vietnam, food and travels.
