The course is for foreigners who would like to improve their basic Danish skills.

You are not a total beginner, and you understand basic Danish when spoken slowly, but you are still having difficulties expressing even simple sentences.

On this Danish language course in Aarhus, the main focus is on spoken Danish and pronunciation. Written exercises are also part of the course, ensuring an in-depth understanding of Danish vocabulary and grammar. To benefit from the course, you must be prepared to do homework between classes.

Who is this Danish course in Aarhus for?

You have completed an education, or are about to take one, – maybe you are already at work. In either event, you wish to be able to speak to your Danish fellow students, colleagues, and neighbours in their native language.

As we use English to explain grammar, you’d need to have a good knowledge of the English language. However, classes will mainly be conducted in Danish. You’d be expected to have a good understanding of grammar in general from having previously learned another second language, like German, Spanish, Polish, or any other European language.

This Danish course in Aarhus is designed for those not eligible for free Danish courses, or who would prefer to quickly master the language. However, the course does not prepare you specifically for taking an official Danish exam.

Learning materials for Danish course

We use the textbook På vej til dansk – trin for trin from the publishing company “Synope” (DKK 335,-). The book covers Danish for Beginners level 1, 2 and 3. You can buy the book directly from the teacher via Mobilepay on the first day of the course, or you can go to our shop in Hans Hartvig Seedorffs stræde 7, where the book will be available 5 days before the course starts.

Expenses for books and materials are not included in the course fee.
