Curious about learning Korean? - Korean for Beginners in Aarhus

The Korean language is quite different from English, and it challenges you to think differently about how language works - and you will have fun while learning it! Through this Korean for Beginners course, you will learn to read and write the Korean alphabet called Hangeul (한글), which is relatively easy to learn, and we will spend considerable time developing your speaking skills. At the same time, you will gain an insight into what Korea as a culture and society has to offer.

Please note that the course is taught in English. Participation requires no preliminary knowledge of Korean.

Course materials:

The course is based on the textbook New Sogang Korean 1A Student’s Book and the accompanying workbook. Together, the two books cost approximately 450 DKK plus shipping. The books are available from various retailers; however, the German website www.koreanbook.de sells them and ships to Denmark without customs charges, as it is within the EU. Delivery times are currently relatively long, so please do not wait until the last minute to order the books. We will use the following editions:
