Sewing course – come sew with us (English educator)
Learn to sew in a relaxed and creative community in Esbjerg. This sewing course for beginners introduces you to baby pants, children’s clothes, and simple tops – practical projects you can use in everyday life or give as thoughtful handmade gifts. You’ll get guidance throughout, time to create, and the joy of making something yourself.
Sewing course – come sew with us
Have you been thinking for a while "I should really try sewing"? Do you want to make something with your own hands – something you can actually use in everyday life, or pass on to a little one in your circle? Then this might be just what you've been waiting for.
A course for beginners and curious makers
This is a course for you who'd like to get started – whether you've never threaded a sewing machine, or you've sewn a bit before and just want to make something in good company. We'll focus on baby pants, children's pants, and tops/t-shirts – small projects that can be finished over a few sessions, and that actually get worn afterwards. If you'd rather sew something else, you're very welcome too, and I'll help as best I can – but the rhythm of the course follows the pants and tops.
More than just sewing
It's as much about being together as it is about sewing. We learn from each other, share tips, drink a cup of coffee, laugh at the small mistakes (because they happen – that's part of it), and go home with something we made ourselves.
Here's how the three sessions go:
18 August – a gentle start.
I'll walk you through the machines and how they work, we choose and trace patterns, and if you've brought fabric, we'll cut it.
25 August – sewing session.
We put the pieces together, and suddenly it starts to look like something.
1 September – finishing touches.
We wrap things up – hems, details, the small things that make it look properly done. And if there's time and energy, you can start a new project.

Time
Daytime (10 AM – 1 PM)
What to bring
Fabric for your project (I'll send suggestions once you've signed up), and a good dose of curiosity. The rest we'll figure out together. You can borrow some patterns, but tell me what you want to make so that I take with me the things you are interested in.
