Om Yann Gandon

I teach design and woodworking workshops with a hands-on, creative focus. I guide participants in turning their own ideas into finished objects and aim to make design and making accessible, inspiring, and rewarding.

Education

I graduated with a Master’s degree from a Business School in Dijon, France, in 2015, specializing in entrepreneurship.

Teaching experience

I have been conducting workshops for nearly three years. In each session, I bring the same enthusiasm and focus on ensuring that participants leave with an item they have personally imagined and crafted.

Other professional experience

I am a self-taught designer and woodworker from France and established my design studio in 2020. I was originally based in New Zealand and have since opened my studio in Copenhagen. Before fully immersing myself in design, my professional background was within sales and finance. At a decisive point, I chose to change direction and pursue furniture design. I was initially drawn to the craftsmanship of furniture making and spent several years crafting wooden furniture, before gradually becoming more absorbed by the creative possibilities of design.
