Learn woodworking techniques and create your own wood project

On this week-long woodworking course during the autumn holiday, you will work from your own idea and create one wood project.

Group introductions and instruction are combined with individual guidance, so you can feel confident in your work and learn new skills at a pace that suits you.

Through hands-on work at the workbench, we practise fundamental woodworking techniques, including shaping and working with wood, joinery and surface finishing. We use a combination of hand tools and power tools.

Possible woodworking projects include:

• A stool

• A small side table

• A small box or container

By the end of the course, you will have gained practical experience with woodworking techniques and worked on your own project from idea to finished piece.

Who is the course for?

The course is for anyone interested in woodworking who would like to develop their skills through practical work on their own project.

How is the course taught?

The course combines group introductions and instruction with individual guidance. You will work hands-on at the workbench and learn at a pace that suits you.

What is included in the course fee?

Screws, nails, dowels, glue and similar materials are included in the course fee. A set amount of ash wood will also be provided.
